For my three diptychs my subject matter is focused on nature and the realationship between line and shape. My diptychs are horizontal and in sets of two. The distance of my shots are all taken close up and at eye level. My pictures are visually unified in each set by line and shape. In my first diptych when each of the pictures are put together a rectangle is created in the center of the frame. The diptych is made up of two different pictures, but it is made to look like just one due to the way it is lined up. My images are unified by the leading lines and mirror effect when two images are put together. They are also affiliated to each other by color. Since the images where all taken in the fall the colors are all reds, browns, greens, and yellows which helps tie all the images together. The concept behind these diptychs is that there usually isn't a lot of symmetry in nature, but when you put two images together it can be created.
